A valvetronic specialist and an English maker of stainless performance exhausts. Here is what each publishes about valves, materials, tips and warranty.

About this guide

We are JF Automotive, a certified Armytrix reseller and installer, so we say that up front. This guide sets out what each brand publishes about itself, with links, so you can decide for yourself. It is not a test or a sound comparison.

Valve control

Armytrix builds its range around valved systems: a wireless remote with open, off and auto modes on most kits, the car's own valve control on some, and an optional phone app.

Scorpion's valved systems keep the car's own valves, so you switch the sound with the car's mode button, and it offers resonated and non-resonated versions for many cars.

Materials and where they are made

Armytrix publishes T304 stainless steel and titanium systems.

Scorpion has designed and made stainless steel performance exhausts in Ripley, Derbyshire since 1992, using T304 stainless steel.

Tips and warranty

Scorpion offers Daytona and Indy tips in polished or black ceramic, and Ascari carbon tips. Armytrix offers chrome silver, blue, matte black and other finishes depending on the car.

Scorpion states a lifetime guarantee, with terms in its FAQ. Armytrix covers its systems for 12 months from installation when a certified installer fits them.

Which suits you

If you want your own remote or app to switch the sound, or titanium as an option, Armytrix is built around that. If you want to keep the car's own valve switching with a UK-made stainless system and a lifetime guarantee, Scorpion publishes that. Check the system listed for your exact car.
