Who is responsible for your data
armytrix.co.uk is owned and run by JF Automotive Ltd (JF Automotive), registered in England and Wales, company number 07651325, at Unit 31 Integra, Bircholt Road, Parkwood Industrial Estate, Maidstone, Kent, ME15 9GQ. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Our data protection contact is John Ford: email sales@jfautomotive.co.uk, call 01622 321500 or write to us at the address above.
This notice covers this website. Our main privacy and cookies policy for everything else we do is at jfautomotive.co.uk.
What we collect and why
- Enquiries: your name, phone, email, registration and message, so we can answer you and quote. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before a contract.
- Number plate lookup: if you enter your registration, we send it to our vehicle data provider to find the make, model and year, so we can show the right kits. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request.
- Orders and fitting: your contact and delivery details, your car and what you bought, to supply and fit it and keep the records tax law requires. Lawful basis: contract and legal obligation.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. If you choose Klarna, Klarna handles that part of the payment and may check your details to decide whether to offer it. We see the payment result, never your full card number.
- Site use: only if you agree in the cookie banner, Google Analytics measures how the site is used and Google Ads measures our adverts. Lawful basis: consent. See cookies.
- Where you came from: when you send an enquiry we include how you found us (for example a search or an advert) and the page you started on, so we know which adverts work. This is kept in your browser, not in a cookie, and only reaches us if you send an enquiry. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in measuring our advertising.
- Advertising measurement: if you accept advertising cookies, we share a scrambled (hashed) version of your email address with Google so it can tell us which of our adverts led to an enquiry or sale. Google cannot read your email address from it. Lawful basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time by emailing us.
- Marketing: only if you tick the box to agree, we send offers and service reminders from JF Automotive by email, text and WhatsApp. You can stop them at any time.
- Messages: if you message us by WhatsApp, email or phone, we keep the conversation with your customer record so we can reply and keep track of your quote and booking.
Who we share it with
Only the suppliers who help us run the shop, each acting on our instructions and under contract to protect your data: RampDesk (our customer and job management system), Vercel (website hosting), Supabase (our product and order database), our vehicle data provider, our email and messaging providers, an AI service that helps our staff draft replies, and our delivery couriers. Stripe and Klarna handle payments. Google provides analytics and advert measurement, only with your consent. Armytrix receives what it needs to supply or replace your system, such as the part and the car. We never sell your data.
Videos on this site are played through YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube receives your IP address when a player loads and may store data in your browser when a clip plays.
Data stored outside the UK
Some of our suppliers store or process data outside the UK, including in the United States and the European Union. Where they do, the transfer is protected by UK adequacy regulations or the UK's approved standard data protection clauses.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an order: 2 years. Orders, invoices and fitting records: 6 years, as tax law requires, and longer only if needed for a legal claim.
Keeping it safe
Data sent between your browser and this site is encrypted. Access to our systems is limited to the staff who need it.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to how we use it (including for marketing, which we always stop), ask for it in a portable format, or withdraw any consent you have given. Email sales@jfautomotive.co.uk. We reply within one month.
If you think we have not handled your data properly, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. For complaints about anything else, see our complaints procedure.
